Thank goodness, Beleg is still there. What would we do without him? I'm sure nothing bad will ever happen to that guy!
I am not much of a writer but I read too much Lord Dunsany to not occasionally feel the impulse. If I need to exorcise this urge I will put the leavings here. That was a really gross way to say that but my backspace key is broken.
- This one about a lady in a city which my sister strongly disliked. That my sister hated it ought to cause you to respect it on some level even before you begin reading.
- Alright, this counts as fanfiction, I guess, technically, but it is my continuation of the ending of a book from 1922 so it seems kind of like a different sort of thing. But the fact that it is devoid of meaning without the source text is probably the defining quality of fanfiction -- at least bad fanfiction. I am not really familiar so I can't say any more. Largely this is just to address how Eddison forgot about his framing device after the first chapter.
- This long, meandering, pretty terrible story is about a Germanic warrior fellow undergoing a contrived moral crisis. I realise I am doing myself no favours by telling you what I think of it!!!
Notes to self
- Story about the death of Cicero.
- The narrative of the Canu Heledd, stripped of identifible nomenclature, basically apocalyptic. The border of Wales is like the Zone. There's Stalkers?? Heledd wanders eternally. Wait, this is just the Silmarillion again...
- Something using the structure of the Anglo Saxon Chronicle?
